I’m happy to present an interview with Quinnford and Scout aka Colin Quinn and Oisín Share, a couple from Manchester that since last year is constantly supplying a growing community of fans with beautiful pictures they’re taking of themselves. Although in the beginning I may have been a bit sceptical about their decision to post pictures online that might otherwise be considered private, I quickly realised that their photography posted on tumblr and flickr is much more interesting and visually exciting than most of the pictures of the dozens of so-called artists doing self-portraits that circulate through the gay blog world. We got in touch a few weeks ago and decided to make an interview online – here’s the complete conversation.

Stephen Beckly is a photographer from Toronto, some of his pictures are currently shown at a group exhibition called “At The Same Time” at the Islington Mill / Manchester. The exhibition also shows pictures by Colin Quinn and Oisin Share (Quinnford & Scout) and Zachary Ayotte/Ted Ker.
Garçons: Sharing Intimacy
Garçons is a queer Ezine from Chile viewing people in intimate situations in their private spaces. The first two issues focus on pictures of guys (issue #2 features some nice pictures of Quinnford and Scout) while the third one that has been released in November last year mixes all kinds of genders which is kind of refreshing. Good Blogs: Quinnford + Scout
I found the link to this website on Johnny Murdoc’s blog who himself found it on Popular Sizes. It’s a blog that works like a photo album and according to Johnny it’s the work of two guys called Colin and Oisin who found each other via Butt magazine and since them are fuck buddies who document their relationship by photographing each other. Although to me it seems kind of strange how these guys share their privacy with the world I like the idea and the pictures are also very nice. Here’s the link.
