Neon Indian

Music Ticker: Caribou, Owen Pallett, Four Tet, M.I.A., Christina Aguilera, Underworld, Miike Snow, HiFi Brown, Neon Indian

+++ Caribou‘s “Swim” is definately one of the best records of the past few months. That I’m not the only one who seems to thinks so can be proven by the fact that both Owen Pallett and Four Tet have recently presented own versions of two of the songs of the album. Click here for Owen’s live version of “Odessa” (poor sound quality) and here Four Tet’s remix of “Angel Echoes” (both via Stereogum) +++

+++ There are another two songs downloadable now that feature the notorious M.I.A. “Haters” seems to be addressed to the New York Times journalist Lynn Hirschberg M.I.A. currently has a beef with (it won’t be found on the upcoming album). “Elastic Love” is a collqboration with Christina Aguilera and will be found on her new album “Bionic”. Click here for “Haters”, here for “Elastic Love” +++

+++ There’s a new strange video by Miike Snow (“The Rabbit”, click here) and a new gorgeous one by Underworld (“Scribble”, click here) +++

+++ Back to Caribou: The single “Odessa” is also the opener of “bikini vol. 1″, a nice mixtape an acquaintance of mine called HiFi Brown has recorded to promote a new party. You can download the tape here +++

+++ Here’s the new video by Neon Indian:

Music Ticker: Neon Indian/ Grizzly Bear, Final Fantasy, The Younger Lovers, Peaches, OK Go

+++ Neon Indian have turned on their eighties generator again to remix Grizzly Bear’s “Cheerleaders”. You can ckeck them out the two results of this experiment on their MySpace page (via Pitchfork) +++

+++ Owen Pallet aka Final Fantasy is releasing a new album on January 12th. One of the new songs called “Lewis Takes Action” can already be downloaded on the label’s website +++

+++ The Younger Lovers have been interviewd by a nineties riot grrl/hardcor zine called Liquid. You find the interview on the band’s website +++

+++ Peaches‘ video for “Trick Or Treat” is definitely the most boring one in her series, but it makes sense considered that the track is also the most boring one on the album +++

+++ If Prince would be an indie rock band he would sound like OK Go. This is their new video (via Colin Quinn):
