+++ Planningtorock has released a new song Misogyny Drop Down - a wonderful, de-gendered hymn against gender-based discrimination with nice house references. The song will soon be released on a new EP on the new exciting Human Level label, which also released Planningtorock’s Patriarchy over & out split single with rRoxymore last year.

+++ Portland based duo Unicorn Domination aka Chelsea Dixon and Clint Havard have self-released a cute synth and beat based debut album entitled “Status” in March last year. Last week I’ve stumbled over the video to their single “Babblestacks”, and since then I can’t get the track out of my head. The video shot in Los Angeles was directed by artist and filmmaker Jessie Kahnweiler.

LE1F has released his new single “Coins” via Soundcloud today. The track (originally produced for the Norwegian hip hop act A-laget by Norwegian producers Drippin & Souldrop last year) will be on his upcoming mixtape “Fly Zone” which will be out next Monday (download here):

Cakes the Killa is about to release his new mixtape (album?) “The Eulogy” via Mishka Records on Tuesday. The first single is called “Goodie” and is the ideal continuation of his debut tape “Easy Bake Oven” from 2011:

The members of House of Ladosha will be featured in a group exhibition entitled “The Whole House Eats” at Superchief Gallery, NYC, which opens on February 7th and will for run week. Will will provide more information soon. Meanwhile, here’s the latest Ladosha track ”9 OR 11″:

+++ THEESatisfaction, whose “awE naturalE” album is still high on the list of my favorite 2012 records, have released a new free EP on their bandcamp site. ”THEESatisfaction Loves Anita Baker” is only around 7 minutes long, but worth every second, and you can stream and download it right here. If you don’t know the duo yet check out the beautiful video to their single “QueenS”.

+++ Berlin based mysterious singer/songwriter o F F Love has just released a new mixtape entitled “Love Me You Do, Love Me If You..” and will support of Tom Krell aka How To Dress Well on his US tour in the next three weeks. Check out the artist’s website for tour dates and his Soundcloud page for his “My Love For You… Probably Love” record from earlier this year (free download).

+++ Baltimore based blogger and artist Abdu Ali Eaton, who I recently interviewed for our Good Blogs section, has just released a new song: “360″ is a taste of what’s to come music-wise from the maker of the Eat On This blog and was produced by Schwarz, another Baltimore based artist. Free download.

+++ Berlin based duo Kool Thing have a new video to their song “PLAN.LIFE.GO” taken from their recent 12″ vinyl single of the same name. The clip was shot in an abandoned sanatorium in Beelitz, just outside Berlin, and like the song needs a little time to develop, so I recommend to really watch it all the way through. Directed by Robin Plessy.

+++ San Francisco based duo Matmos are releasing their new “The Ganzfeld EP” in October, you can already pre-order it on CD, LP and in different limited edition packages via Thrill Jockey. The opening track “Very Large Green Triangles (Edit)” is already online and can be downloaded for free:

+++ Red Hot Organisation, the non-profit company who produced the Dark Was The Night compilation and more than 15 other albums aiming to raise awareness and money to fight AIDS/HIV, has a new project: On Kickstarter they are raising funding for a new Arthur Russell tribute compilation entitled This is how we walk on the moon. Featured artists will be a whole bunch of nice pop acts such Twin Shadow, Washed Out, José González, Robyn, Hot Chip, Nico Muhly + Owen Pallett, Cut Copy and many others. You can donate here.

+++ Berlin based artist Nikolaj Tange Lange (see picture on top) has just released a new album with his synth-punk project Nuclear Family. “Crime” is now available via Bandcamp (limited picture LP/digital). You can stream the record here right here and/or check out Tange Lange’s YouTube page to see the first three videos that were made as additional material.

+++ Kids On TV have a new video to their song “Poison”, a collaboration with Isabelle Noel / SIQUEMU. The strack was originally featured on the bands Shape-Shifting Mutants EP and will be part of the new album Pantheon, which is due September 4. The video was directed by Roxanne Luchark.

+++ While we’re counting the days until May 1 when Light Asylum release their debut album, the guys have made the waiting a little easier by releasing a free teaser track called “IPC”, which you can stream and download here for free (via self-titled). The duo will play a gig in Berlin this Tuesday and are touring the US in May – tour dates on their website.

+++ In 2006 Antony and the Johnsons and video artist and film maker Charles Atlas have toured Europe with a concert, that combined the music of the band and with live video portraits of 13 women from New York City, amongst them Nomi Ruiz. Atlas has now released a film entitled “Turning” (official poster on top), which explores the heart of the performance. Trailer and more information on the films’ website.

+++ Light Asylum have just released an new 2-track single called “Shallow Tears” via Mexcian Summer (cover above). The duo’s debut album is due May 1st. You can stream “Shallow Tears” here, I also posted a nice & free remix of the song by Berlin based duo Kool Thing below. “Genesis”, the b-side of the single, can be streamed here.
