+++ A couple of days ago I received an email by a Swedish musician and set designer Johan Svenson, who introduced me to his electronic music trio called DELAYKLINIKEN. I really like their trancey latest Single “Everywhere”, which you can stream and download right here. There’s also a nice video to the song, you can watch it here.
+++ Kele Okereke (see sexy picture above) is about to release his new “The Hunter” EP next week. The EPs lead track “What Did I Do” feat. Lucy Taylor has already been released in September. You find the tracklist of “The Hunter” here and the video to “What Did I Do” here.

Four years ago, performance artist Marina Abramović asked director Robert Wilson to co-write and stage on a piece about her live. Now “The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic” has celebrated it’s world premiere at the Manchester International Festival, where the show (which features the artist herself, Antony and William Defoe and music by Matmos), was shown last week. As far as I could figure out the play will tour around the world in 2012 (maybe even earlier) and be shown at a couple of theaters in Europe such as the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Theater Basel.
Here are a couple of promising clips from one of the rehearsal some nice person posted on YouTube, check out the MIF website for a video statement by Abramovic herself and two other preview videos. Picture on top by Lucie Jansch.
+++ There’s also a new album by Anticon artist Ryan Lott alias Son Lux (see picture above), which will be released on May 17. “We Are Rising” is the follow-up to “At War With Walls and Mazes” from 2008 and can be streamend on the website of the National Public Radio. You can stream and download a new album track called “Rising” right here: Rising by Son Lux by PMA

A little journey through last 3 decades of pop culture I just put together for a German music magazine. You can watch all the music videos after the jump, and don’t forget to click away the advertisement in the Dailymotion videos by using the cross in the right corner.
The winner of the 2010 Catch Fire music video award is Antony’s “Thank you for your love”, a clip based on Super 8 footage that the singer himself shot upon his arrival to New York City in the early Nineties. Congratulations! And thanks to all voters! Click here for the final results and watch the clip here.
Catch Fire will take a break until December 20 – enough time for you, dear followers, to choose your favourite video shown on this site in 2010. Last year I called the voting “Queer Music Video Award“, but I’ve decieded to rename it, since (although I think all videos are queer in one way or another) not all the artists nominated this year actually would consider themselves as “queer”. You find all nominated videos after the poll below the jump or on this page. I hope you enjoy this kind of look back at 2010 as much I did when I did the preselection. May the best one win!
