When a friend of mine told me a few days ago that the Canadian band Islands has released a new album called “Vapours” in September I was pretty surprised. I think I may not have been the only one  who was dissappointed by the inaccessability of “Arm’s Way”, the record before, but it seems kind of unfair to me to keep on punishing the band by ignoring them (at least the music journalists seem to have ignored them – it is hard to find even longer reviews of the album online). So although when it’s a little late for that I’d like to make some advertisement for “Vapours” here because I think it’s a really nice pop album that doesn’t deserve to be forgotten. I especially like that Nick Diamond’s band uses synthesizers now, they suit them very well.
