/// The Fall: High Definition Kitsch ///

“The Fall” is the strangest movie I’ve seen in months. It came out in 2006, directed by Tarsem Singh, the director of “The Cell”. In Germany the film didn’t get any attention, this is why I’m posting this. I have no idea if it was more successful in other countries, but at least it seems like it’s become some kind of a worldwide cult movie. The movie’s biggest problem is its script: It tries too hard to be clever but is actually kind of boring and incoherent, so it’s never really able to keep up with the impressive pictures which were shot at I don’t know how many different places in the world. But although the movie has got it’s boring moments I think it is worth watching, not only because it’s beautiful, but also because it’s kind of campy. Just make sure to watch it on a big screen.
